Bao Massage - Exciting Updates!
Hello Everyone!
To get this out of the way - we do have air conditioning! Seriously though - thank goodness. I hope that you all can find a way to beat the heat the next few days.
We have some exciting news to share at the clinic.
For the past 15 or so years, I have been renting my space from Placare - Associates in Heath. The structure of the clinic has always confused people - we are a collective of therapists that work together but remain each our own business. In April we found out our clinic Placare would be passing on the torch. So my long-time colleague Katherine and I decided we would take over the space!!
And I am excited to announce that our new clinic name will be Wintersweet Wellness Collective - the home of BAO Massage and so many other amazing therapists.
Wintersweet is a shrub that only blooms in the dead of winter - which seems fitting to us. Each and every one of the therapists in our clinic works to help you thrive when conditions are the toughest.
So what does this all mean - To be honest not much for you - BAO Massage will remain as it is, as well as all of the other therapists that currently share our clinic with us. The biggest change you will notice that we will be redecorating!! July 1st our clinic will be closed in order for us to revamp the space. Next time you're in - ask about our 1940's teacher desk. There is a bit of a story!
Mask / Covid Updates
While we as a province are opening up for the summer - these changes in the broader public will not affect massage therapy clinics. From now until July 10th all existing covid policies remain in place after which our Associations in conjunction with the Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Hinshaw will provide any alterations to the existing protocols. Masks will still be mandatory for entering our clinic and receiving treatment as well as the covid screening prior to your appointment.
Please know that our clinic takes your health very seriously and we will always act in a way that protects the most vulnerable so they may too receive the care they need.
I have like many of you received my 2nd dose of the vaccine - thankfully!
Other tidbits
This year I decided to pursue a personal passion - Herbology. I have begun my path to become a Practical Herbologist. I will not be quitting massage therapy so don't worry BUT I will be crafting all sorts of herbal remedies this year! So if you want to talk about herbs I'm delighted to do so! Stay tuned for my future offerings as well!
