Treatment Planning – Make the Most of Your Benefits
As we move into the last few months of the year, it’s a good time to remind you that many benefit plans will be expiring soon. However, last year, insurance companies made it clear that encouraging you to use up your benefits could be considered insurance fraud. Instead, we’re encouraged to support you in following a proper treatment plan.
Massage is often more about prevention, so planning can be a bit more complex. If you’re not addressing a specific issue, we refer to this as a "maintenance schedule." Your ideal maintenance frequency depends on factors like your stress level, workload, exercise routine, or even starting a new fitness plan. Typically, we recommend a maintenance massage every four weeks or so, though that can vary based on your schedule and budget.
If you're dealing with high levels of stress, in the midst of school midterms, or balancing your kids' activities, more frequent massage therapy might be exactly what you need.
Financials, of course, play a role in how often we can access paramedical services like massage therapy. I encourage you to consider how much coverage you have remaining and plan for times when you're most likely to need extra support. If you'd like help planning out your treatments, I’m happy to assist.
As the fall schedule picks up, I recommend booking your next appointment in advance. If you need something last minute, just reach out, and I'll do my best to fit you in.
Cold and Flu Season
As cold and flu season approaches, I want to remind everyone about the importance of rescheduling if you're feeling unwell. There are quite a few colds circulating already. If you're sick, please reschedule your massage—even if it’s last minute. Not only is it not ideal to receive a massage while sick, but it’s also important for me to avoid exposure. Canceling due to illness is completely understandable, and there’s no fee for rescheduling in these situations.
Refer a Family Member or Friend
If you refer a family member or friend and they receive a massage treatment, you’ll receive 15 extra minutes of treatment as a thank-you! Referrals are the best way I grow my business, and I truly appreciate your support.
